Evergreen Community Update # 18

Under direction from the Department of Health and Wellness (DHW), Evergreen is restricting visitors from all areas of Halifax Regional Municipality as well as all of Hubbards, Milford, Lantz, Elmsdale, Enfield, South Uniacke, Ecum Secum and Trafalgar.

This is in effect until May 20, 2021. DHW will re-evaluate at this time and provide an update.

 

These restrictions are for indoor/outdoor visiting only, Designated Caregivers from these areas may continue their role with thorough COVID-19 screening. A reminder that Designated Caregivers are expected to be self-monitoring for symptoms of COVID-19 at all times. If you are feeling unwell, please cancel your visit.

 

On-site symptomatic testing continues to be available for Designated Caregivers

  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday

  • 2:00-4:00pm West Conference Room (1st floor Senior Centre)

  • Bring your Health Card Number

  • Please inform nursing staff if you plan to participate in testing during your visit

  • Do not eat, drink, brush your teeth, smoke, or chew gum one (1) hour prior to sample collection.

 

Residents requiring essential medical appointments within the restricted area are permitted at the discretion of resident/SDM. Resident escorts should not be from the restricted areas unless they are established Designated Caregivers.

 

Family/friends can continue to engage with residents with video calls (call ext. 555 to arrange) and phone calls.
